A program to develop the will to go to school

The “Love Learning” program is the flagship initiative of Énergie Jeunes. In the 2023-2024 school year, 126,950 students from 850 schools benefited from this program designed to help them fully develop their potential.

Originally aimed at middle school students from 6th to 9th grade, the program was expanded to also include students in CM1 and CM2 (upper elementary grades) through a version adapted for primary schools.

Two to three sessions, spaced a few weeks apart, are organized in classrooms with the participation of volunteers. The volunteers interact with the students using educational materials created by the association, sparking discussions on key themes.

Each session includes videos, testimonials, student exchanges, and educational games. All students are encouraged to actively participate and respond to the facilitators’ questions.

The goal of these sessions is to stimulate their personal reflection, integrate new habits, and promote a positive worldview, thus triggering a psychological shift.

The association strongly relies on skills-based volunteering to expand its model across schools in the country.

During the 2023-2024 school year, the 1% For Education Fund partnered in funding the project in schools in Haute-Savoie (France), and around ten Maped employees volunteered to be trained and lead sessions.

Thanks to their efforts, 550 students benefited from the program during this school year.
