Action realized with: Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos
Visit their siteNuestros Pequeños Hermanos Guatemala is located in the department of Chimaltenango and caters for 325 particularly vulnerable students:
To combat the vulnerability of its beneficiaries, the NPH Guatemela center wanted to provide them with technological knowledge and digital tools, to help their social and professional integration.
The development of communication technologies has brought about a radical change in society. The educational offer therefore needs to cover these needs, configuring new ways of working in the classroom, information retrieval and collaborative learning, for which new skills are required.
Access to networks, the creation of a classroom model with digital tools, teacher training in the use of ICT and the integration of new methodologies are all necessary to train children in these new tools, and contribute to the development of the knowledge and new skills that today’s society demands.
This project aims to reduce the digital divide by initiating the digital transformation of the NPH Guatemala school, by equipping classrooms with projectors, screens and computers.
It will improve the digital culture and skills of the students, which is absolutely essential for their future.
In addition to the school’s 325 students, the project will involve between 500 and 600 parents through the “School for Parents”. The aim is to guide parents in all matters relating to education, health and professional integration.
